We've neglected the blog for too long, so here's a timeline in pictures to catch us up. Bear with us.

| In November, we took a road trip with Ben and Elizabeth. We visited Troy (seen here)... |
![]() |
| ...as well as Gallipoli. This is Lone Pine Monument, for fallen ANZAC Soldiers. |
![]() |
| On the same trip we swung through Bursa; here is the 14th century Ulu Mosque. |
![]() |
| We also visited Bergama on that trip, visiting the Asclepion (here)... |
![]() |
| ...the Red Basilica (built in the 2nd century AD)... |
![]() |
| ...and the Acropolis, site of a 10,000-seat amphitheater, the steepest in the world. |
![]() |
| In December we met Vice President Biden! |
![]() |
| In January we took a trip to Selçuk for the annual Camel Wrestling Festival... |
![]() |
| ...along with about 10,000 other Turkish attendants. It was a huge awesome picnic, with lots of grilled food, and camels wrestling each other. |

| In March Dan and Jenn visited, and we traveled to Cappadocia, staying in a cave hotel (here)... |
![]() |
| ...and touring an underground city at Derinkuyu. |
![]() |
| We (well, Dan, Jenn, and Dennis) also visited Ephesus, and saw some of the most extensive Greco-Roman ruins in the Mediterranean. |
![]() |
| In April we took a quick trip to Ankara, visiting Ataturk's Mausoleum. |
![]() |
| Also in April, we took our last pre-baby trip to Kaş, on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey. |
![]() |
| There were plenty of Lycian ruins to be seen, and plenty of hills to climb. |
![]() |
| But the view at the top was worth it, especially here in Kaleköy, a village that can only be reached by foot on days like this one, when the wind prevents boat travel. |
![]() |
| We also made it up quite a hilly trail to see fire coming out of a mountain near Çıralı on the Lycian Way. |

| On May 21st, Paul Robert Williams was born! 49 centimeters and 3490 grams! |
![]() |
| Here he is at just over 3 weeks, totally cool with repeated camera flashes in the face. |
![]() |
| At 7 weeks, tummy time is going pretty well (for a few seconds anyway). |
![]() |
| Sometimes we can even get a half grin out of him, hopefully more of those to come! |
So that's what we've been up to over the last half year. Hopefully we'll get our next blog post up much sooner.
Congratulations on your new bundle! Our Olmsted baby was born 18 May last year! We were in Istanbul in February (you know, with the record breaking cold and snow the whole time!)...wish we had known you guys were already in-country! Enjoy...it goes by so quickly!
